Merrick Academy utilizes a proprietary, standard based on the Core Knowledge Sequence to teach history, science, geography, literature and fine arts. It was developed and is continually updated and refined by the Core Knowledge Foundation, an independent organization that leverages the research of teachers, administrators and academic scholars around the country.
